Controlling Electric Locks with Calendars
This section describes how to connect an electronic lock, magnet lock or strike plate to enable its control with a calendar.
Proceed as follows.
- Make sure that the switch on Net Bridge is set to STANDBY.
-
Connect the Door Module to the prepared Net Bridge,
or continue the bus from the last device on the main bus in accordance with
the wiring diagram in iLOQ Online - Design Guide.
Note:
If you are continuing the bus from another bus device, remember to remove the bus termination (TERMINATION = OFF) from the device from which you are continuing the bus.
-
Connect the electronic lock control to the K1 or K2 relay output in accordance with the lock manufacturer’s instructions.
Note:
Do not use the bus voltage (DC+, DC-) as the electronic lock's power source.
-
Set Operation Mode 2 by using the OPTIONS switches as follows:
S1 ON S2 ON S3 OFF S4 OFF - Set TERMINATION (TE/TEST) to ON if this bus device is the last device in this bus branch. If not, set it to OFF.
- After connecting the remaining bus devices, complete the Net Bridge settings once (see Completing the Bus Device Configuration on Net Bridge) and continue this procedure.
- In iLOQ 5 Series Manager, check that the connected Door Module has been added to the Net Bridge device list. You can identify the Door Module by its serial number.
- Set the connected relay as a calendar controlled door. See Adding Calendar Controlled Doors
- If you don’t already have a suitable calendar for the door, add a calendar. See Adding Control Calendars for Doors.
