Programming Net Bridge for Deployment and Completing a Device Configuration
This chapter describes how to complete the device configuration of a Net Bridge.
Make sure that:
-
You have connected all bus devices.
-
The Net Bridge has a network connection and access to the iLOQ server.
-
You have prepared the Net Bridge and the bus configuration. See Preparing N500 Net Bridge and Connected Bus Devices for Deployment.
The devices will contact the server after the first programming step of the deployment phase. If the server has newer firmware, the firmware will be updated during deployment. The firmware update is visually indicated with blue lights on the reader and Net Bridge.
During the firmware update, do not disconnect the network connection or the power supply to the devices. Do not disconnect or add bus devices or readers during the firmware update.
Proceed as follows.
- Ensure that the Net Bridge switch is ON.
- Make sure that the MODE switch on the Net Bridge is set to OPERATING.
-
Insert the P55.x programming key into the door/wall reader. At the start of
deployment programming, the reader's progress indicator and the programming
key's LED light are both orange.
It takes about 5 to 15 seconds to download the programming package from the programming key.
The deployment programming is complete when the reader beeps and the green STATUS light illuminates.
-
Check the Net Bridge indicator lights.
At the end of deployment programming, the POWER, FW/DEVICES, SYSTEM STATUS, ONLINE and RS-485 lights are solid green. The LTE light on the N500 Net Bridge does not indicate any essential information.
-
Check that the green POWER, DEVICE, BRIDGE and SERVER lights are illuminated in
all Door Modules.
The PROGRAM STATUS light of the Door Module, used for the deployment programming, is green.
-
Check that the STATUS light of the connected reader is green.
If there are door modules ordered in the Browse Locks view, the second step starts automatically.
-
Any serial numbered locks (door modules) added in the Browse Locks view and set to Ordered are programmed automatically over the network.
-
Check that the green POWER, DEVICE, BRIDGE, SERVER and PROGRAM STATUS lights are illuminated in all Door Modules.
-
Check that the STATUS light is green on all connected readers.
If there are unordered door modules in the Browse Locks view, order the programmable door modules. The programming of the ordered door modules will then start automatically. Follow the instructions in the previous step.
