Automatic Key Renewal

An automatically renewed key is a key that has an end date and time that can be automatically renewed by the system, after the user has defined renewal period settings.

With these setting, you define the renewal period when, before the end time of the key elapses, the key can be updated to have the next validity period.

For example, if you have defined that:

• The Automatic renewal is in use.
• The New expiration date is available three hours before the expiry date of the current period.
• The Renewal period is repeated every 1 weeks.
• The Renewal ends at selected date and time.

For example, if the key end time is on Thursday at 11 am and you update the key on Thursday at 8 am or after, but before 11 am, the end date is postponed to the Thursday on the next week.
