Users
Users are persons who have the rights to use iLOQ 5 Series Manager.
Different users may have different usage rights in the system. You can, for example, distribute system administration by allowing one user to order, that is, approve, programming changes to locks and keys. Another user, for its part, can carry out previously ordered programming tasks, but cannot modify the content of these programming tasks.
A person using a key is not necessarily a user in the system. Key users are called persons in the system.
You can manage users in two ways:
- Over iLOQ 5 Series Manager
-
Over Azure Active Directory
iLOQ 5 Series Manager supports the Azure AD single-sign-on (SSO) authentication method. This means that users can access the iLOQ 5 Series Manager software by using the same set of Azure AD credentials that they use for other AD applications. Thus, there is no need to memorize credentials for different apps, which often leads to reusing easy-to-remember and weak passwords. To use Azure AD SSO authentication for iLOQ 5 Series Manager login, iLOQ 5 Series Manager users must be synchronized from Azure AD Connect to iLOQ 5 Series Manager. Note that Azure AD synchronization can be done for iLOQ 5 Series Manager users only, not for other persons in the locking system, such as key holders and so on.
