N50x RFID Readers

The RFID reader is a device located in the vicinity of the door. The RFID reader is connected to the READER RS-485 bus of the Door Module. The RFID reader can control an electronic lock, for example, with an iLOQ key equipped with an RFID tag or iLOQ S50 Phone key (the device needs to be NFC enabled). The N50xi reader can also be connected directly to the main bus as a Key programming Hot Spot, whereby the reader can be used to update key access rights and time profiles.

If the RFID reader has a keypad, it is possible to enable the unlocking of the door with just a PIN code.

During installation:

  • If the distance between two readers is less than 10 cm, or a reader is installed on a metal surface, the reading distance may be compromised.

  • If you are installing two readers close to each other, we recommend installing a metal sheet between the readers.

  • Do not install the reader near strong sources of electromagnetic radiation.

  • Installation directly on a metal surface may compromise the reader’s reading distance. To avoid this, we recommend placing the installation plate A5.1xx between the door and the reader.
