Updating the Programming Key Firmware

If the Programming key firmware needs to be updated, iLOQ 5 Series Manager will prompt you to do so. The update itself is automatic, but it clears the Programming key’s memory.

Tip:

Feel free to let the update process clear any pending programming tasks. You can transfer the tasks back after the Programming key has been updated.

If the Programming key contains logs or reply messages, log in to the required locking systems to transfer all reply messages to the appropriate systems (logging in is sufficient because reply messages are transferred automatically). Otherwise, you will lose the logs and/or reply messages and will need to revisit the locks to re-obtain the logs or reply messages.
