Adding the First Token and Attaching It to a User

This section describes how to add the first token to iLOQ Locking System, and how to attach the token to a user.

1. Connect an empty programming token to your computer.
   Note:

   The Token not found text does not disappear from the user interface, when you connect an unprogrammed token to your computer. You can safely proceed.

2. Select Log in.
3. Select Administration > Browse tokens.

   

4. Select Add token.
   The Adding a Token wizard is opened.
5. Select Add token and attach it to user.
6. Name the token.
   Tip:

   Name the tokens according to their label and owner. In this way, it is easy to identify the owner of the token.

7. Select Active.
8. Select Next.
9. Select Admin as the user.
10. Select Next.
11. Select the usage rights for the user.

    For the admin user, select all usage rights.

    You can manage the selection of usage rights with the arrow buttons as follows:

    • — Click the Arrows right button to move all items to the selection list.
    • — Click the Arrow right button to move the selected item(s) to the selection list.
    • — Click the Arrow left button to remove the selected item(s) from the selection list.
    • — Click the Arrows left button to remove all items from the selection list.
12. Select Next.
13. A summary screen is shown.
14. Select Ready.
15. Optional: If the token appears in the Set to programming state:

    Proceed as follows.

    1. Select the token in the Set to programming state.
    2. Right-click to select Re-program.

       The Reprogramming of Programming Token wizard is opened.

    3. Select Reprogram Programming Token.
    4. Follow the wizard.
16. A summary screen is shown.
17. Select Close.
18. Select OK.
    The token appears in the token list.
19. Log out and log in with the new token.
