After 182 days, Expo 2020 Dubai has finally closed its doors.
The fantastic event, which was originally scheduled to commence in October 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually welcomed around 24,000,000 visitors.
The main theme of Expo 2020 Dubai was “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” with Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity as its sub-themes. iLOQ was proud to be selected to provide the locking solution for the entire Finland pavilion, which itself welcomed over 1 million visitors.
Mid-way through the Expo, iLOQ hosted a VIP event which gave us the ideal opportunity to connect with many important stakeholders in the residential and utilities sectors. The ability to move smoothly and securely throughout the pavilion using iLOQ’s digital locking and mobile access solutions was the perfect way to showcase our innovations. And the fact that the entire system was battery-free fulfilled our commitment to making Expo 2020 Dubai one of the most sustainable World Expos to date.
“Sharing future happiness” was the individual theme of the Finland pavilion. This probably stems from the fact that Finland has, for the fifth consecutive year, been ranked as the world’s happiest nation. And from the feedback we received, we are confident that we made an excellent impression on visitors to the pavilion.
iLOQ’s Export Manager, Aiman Soufi, was on hand to welcome VIP guests and other visitors to the Finland pavilion. Tasked with the role of establishing iLOQ as a major player in the Middle East as part of our ambitious growth plans, he commented:
“Expo 2020 Dubai was a great success for iLOQ. It will help to boost our reputation not only in the region, but also worldwide thanks to the 193 different nationalities attending the event.
