Editing the Lock Settings

This section describes how to edit lock settings on iLOQ 5 Series Manager.

The settings that you can edit are:

  • Does the lock collect audit trails or not.

  • Does the lock accept API-type access rights or not.

    Note:

API access rights must be activated in the system for this option to be available.

  • Does the lock require server authentication from the key or not. The server authentication requirement can be set to be access right type-specific, that is, is the requirement valid for standard or API access rights, or both.

Note:

Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Proceed as follows.

  1. Select Basic data > Browse locks.

  2. Select the desired lock.
  3. Right-click to select Edit access rights.
The Edit access rights wizard is opened.
  4. Select Edit lock settings and access rights.
  5. Select:
    • Lock collects audit trail — Does the lock collect audit trails or not.

    • Allow API access rights — Does the lock accept API-type access rights or not.

    • Online authentication required — Does the lock require server authentication from the key or not.

This option is only available for S50 locks and keys.

If you select this option, two new options appear. You can select either or both options.

      • For keys with standard access rights — Select this option to require online authentication from keys with standard access rights.

      • For keys with API access rights — Select this option to require online authentication from keys with API access rights.

  6. Click Next.
  7. If you also want to edit access rights, edit them in this step.

  10. Click Next.
  11. Select how to proceed.

The options depend on the lock type and lock programming state. The options are:

    • Leave locks in planning state — Select Leave locks in planning state if you want to leave the locks in the planning state, and program the locks later.

    • Order and send — Select Order and send if you want to create the programming tasks and transfer them to keys, and let the keys carry out the programming, when the key is used on the lock.

If you select this option, the lock will enter the Ordered state. This means that the lock programming package has been sent to the default programming phone(s). The lock enters the Issued to programming state when the phone replies to the server that is has received the package. Finally, when the phone has visited the lock and programmed it, the lock enters the Programmed state.

      Note:

The Browse locks view is not automatically refreshed, but you must press the Refresh button to refresh the view to see the changes in the lock programming state.

    • Order locks — Select Order locks if you know that the lock definitions are final, but you want to program the lock later.

For more information, see Ordering Locks.

    • Order and transfer to Programming key — Select Order and transfer to Programming key if you are deploying a mounted lock, and you want to program it by disconnecting the Programming key from the computer, and taking it to the lock to be deployed. You can only do this for one lock at a time.

    • Order and program locks — Select Order and program locks for S5 locks, if you want to create the programming task, and execute it at once for a single lock at hand.

  12. Click Next.
  13. A summary window is displayed.
  14. Follow the wizard to end the procedure.
