Product and Packaging Recycling

iLOQ Oy has partnered with country-specific entities to take part in the Extended Producer responsibility (EPR) regulation.

E-waste, or electronic waste, refers to discarded electrical or electronic devices and appliances that are no longer functional, desired, or nearing the end of their useful life. It encompasses a wide range of items, including household appliances, consumer electronics, office equipment and infrastructure devices. E-waste often contains valuable materials, such as gold, silver and copper, but also hazardous substances like lead, mercury and cadmium. When e-waste is improperly disposed of, toxic chemicals can leach into soil and water, polluting ecosystems. Responsible recycling ensures that valuable resources are recovered, while harmful materials are managed safely.

Packaging waste regulation aims to reduce the environmental impact of packaging materials by promoting their recovery, reuse and recycling. We are taking part in Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) to fulfill our responsibility as a importers to arrange collection of packaging waste. Packaging materials should be efficiently recycled to prevent pollution, reduce resource use and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
