About the project

Refind was looking for a solution that would both modernize access to its apartments and improve communication with tenants. With the number of keys that needed to be managed for apartments, using physical keys had become impractical. And traditional communication via email, especially in urgent matters such as breakdowns or lift updates, was challenging.

The solution

To enhance convenience and efficiency for both tenants and the company itself, Refind installed iLOQ’s smart-locking solution. With iLOQ’s solution, the power needed to recognize access rights and open locks comes from a smartphone. This eliminates the need for both batteries and physical keys.  

To improve access management and the flow of information with tenants, all the functions of iLOQ’s smart-locking solution have been integrated with the GuestCompass’ digital platform. GuestCompass’ software solutions for digital communication and access management include a customized app. Using the app as a communication channel, tenants can, for example, quickly submit repair requests and receive newsletters or other important updates. This gets rid of lengthy e-mails and makes the process faster and more flexible, contributing to a better online tenant experience.

Reduced lifecycle costs

iLOQ’s solution is completely keyless, wireless and requires no batteries. This minimizes access management administration and eliminates the need to purchase batteries and the maintenance time and cost of replacing them.

Access rights are sent to the app running on the tenant’s smartphone. They can be updated and cancelled remotely and in real time. This eliminates security issues related to lost, stolen or unreturned keys and ensures property managers know at all times who has access to where and when.
