Cruquiuskade homeowner association
Secure and flexible access management for Dutch homeowner associations
About the customer
Cruquiuskade is one of numerous homeowner associations in the Netherlands. When purchasing an apartment, buyers automatically become part of a homeowners’ association, giving them shared ownership of the building.
About the project
Following the targeted theft of a master key, the Cruquiuskade homeowner association saw an opportunity to take access management in the apartments and also the storage areas to the next level.
The solution
Working closely with iLOQ’s authorized partner, Amsterdam Sleutelpaleis, the Cruquiuskade property chose iLOQ’s digital-key-based smart-locking solution.
The main reason for choosing iLOQ was that the entire solution is battery-free; the power needed to open locks is generated by the motion of pushing the digital key into the lock. With no batteries in either the keys or cylinders, the solution operates reliably at all times and eliminates the need to purchase batteries or pay maintenance costs to continually change them.
Access rights are remotely programmed to the keys. They can be updated as needs change and immediately cancelled if a key is lost or stolen using iLOQ’s door modules in the property to keep security levels high.
How everyday life in the Cruquiuskade homeowner association became more secure and flexible
Battery-free solution
iLOQ’s cylinders need no batteries or accumulators. This makes the solution low maintenance, durable and cost effective. The digital keys are also battery-free ensuring reliable access.
User-friendly software and flexible operation
iLOQ’s cloud-based software is easy to use by both property managers and the homeowner association board. The solution is modular and can be adapted to changing needs. iLOQ’s authorized partner keeps a good range of keys and cylinders in stock so that property managers can quickly respond to the needs of different homeowner associations.
Expandability to other housing associations
iLOQ’s solution has been implemented not only in the Cruquiuskade property, but also in the Brood, Iron and Varnish, Valckhof, Sporenboog, Stallingsgarage and Poortgebouw properties. Thanks to the zone system, each homeowner association board has access to only their own data, providing a clear overview, privacy and security.
