About the customer
Completed in November 2020, Kipinä houses the Hyvinkää High School, Hyvinkää College, Adult Basic Education, Adult Upper Secondary School and TUVA education. There are more than 1000 students and 80 members of staff. The building has been using the iLOQ S5 system from the very beginning and now has the iLOQ by Livion key automat as an additional feature.
A need to renew the previous locking system
The traditional mechanical locking systems used in the old high school premises posed significant challenges, especially when keys were lost. There was no exact information about who had access to the different areas, which reduced security. Key management was based on physical files, which made the process confusing and unreliable. Access control on the whole was remarkably insecure and lacked up-to-date management.

One key works for all the locks and access to the keys is managed remotely by the administrators themselves. Who has access rights and where the keys are is known at all times. If, for some reason, a key is lost or stolen, the access rights to the key are remotely removed. Every lock in the building has a log file showing who has accessed it and when.
