iOS compatibility for iLOQ S50 mobile access management

However, with the interfaces currently provided by Apple, it has not been possible to open iLOQ S50 locks using an iPhone. Apple users have needed to use an iLOQ Key Fob to open the S50 locks. Although the key fob is an excellent solution, it may be a little inconvenient, especially if the access rights need to be regularly updated, because the update requires a physical visit to an administration office.
To overcome this issue, iLOQ has released the iLOQ FobApp for iOS. An iPhone running the app acts as a gateway between the iLOQ Key Fob and the iLOQ Cloud. It enables users to receive updates over-the-air through an iPhone directly to their iLOQ Key Fob. Access rights can be updated quickly and easily, and it removes the need for users to visit an administration office. This saves time, money and, with less travelling by car, the environment. It’s another way that iLOQ shows its commitment to green solutions.
The iLOQ FobApp is very simple to use and doesn’t need to be registered anywhere. You can ask anyone who has an iPhone to get the updates over the air and transfer them to your key fob. The process is similar to someone letting you use their phone as a mobile hotspot.
The new app which can be downloaded here is part of a major iLOQ S50 system update which also includes releases to key fob firmware and iLOQ Manager.
