Case Rheine housing association: technical excellence combined with user-friendliness
With iLOQ’s digital locking system, the Rheine housing association found a product that meets their technical requirements and that can be used by all employees without any problems.
Wohnungsverein Rheine is a housing cooperative in Germany with 1700 rental apartments in its own portfolio and 1000 rental and owner-occupied apartments in its managed portfolio. The housing association continually modernizes and renews its own portfolio in order to offer its tenants a secure and high-quality standard of living.
For the construction of their new administration building, Wohnungsverein Rheine had to find a locking system that was easy to operate, could be combined with the alarm system, and that offered the possibility to additionally operate the time recording functionality with only one key and that could be easily and quickly extended to other buildings in the future. The association found the ideal solution in iLOQ’s digital locking system.
The delivery included 58 battery-free cylinders, 94 digital keys including MIFARE RFID transponders and an iLOQ Online hotspot for key updates. The Online hotspot enables the customer to remotely program the access rights of keys. Wohnungsverein Rheine is pleased to announce that the administration of the system is fast and easy and, with no batteries to replace, the profile cylinders do not need regular maintenance.
“With iLOQ’s digital locking system, we have found a product that meets our technical requirements and that can be used by all employees without any problems. By eliminating the need for batteries, we save resources, reduce harmful waste and gain time because there is no need for maintenance,” explains System Administrator, Thomas Gerken, from the Rheine housing association.
